Pastor Jones has been in the ministry for over 30 years.  On June 29, 1997, he was elected as Pastor of Upper Room Christian Church. For the past ten years the basis of his teaching has included a strong emphasis on:  Divine Purpose, the Power of Prayer, the Power of Praise and Worship, the mandate of Fellowship and the blessings in Tithing. 

Pastor Jones has worked extensively on a volunteer basis with community and educational organizations (such as A.G.E.N.D.A. and two terms as President of the school governing council).   He has received various and numerous awards and commendations.  During his 30 years of ministry, Pastor Jones has covered areas from Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director and Youth President.  He served as Youth Pastor and President of the youth auxiliary.  Pastor Jones has also performed in vocal music for the past 40 years and professionally for the past 24 years.  

Pastor recently established a new focus for UR Family Ministries (formerly known as Upper Room Christian Church).  The focus is on family, staying connected through worship, fellowship and ministry, and discovering and fulfilling ones spiritual gift(s).  He serves as the Founder & Overseer of HIM Ministries (Hartford International Messianic Ministries).

Pastor Jones was joined in Holy Matrimony to his lovely wife, Evelyn Joyce Burk-Jones on August 2, 1970. They are the proud parents of three adult daughters and one teenage son.
